Azumi AZI Flute

Realistic Product Illlustration

The purpose of this project was to create a realistic illustration of an actual product. This illustration depicts an Azumi AZ1 flute. I began with a high-resolution photograph, which I took using a DSLR camera. I traced over the photograph with the pen tool using a very fine stroke. Once the linework was complete, I used the Live Paint feature to color in each section of the flute. I added a shadow and background that was similar in color to the one the photograph was taken on. The video below is a demonstration of how I created the illustration and added color to the vector linework. The illustration was then used as a basis for a fictitious marketing campaign that included two storefront window advertisements, a magazine advertisement, a product information brochure, and product packaging design.
